Oddly enough, this has the practical effect of requiing a steady need for new hardware purchases, as opposed to piecemeal upgrades. I opened the setup.exe file that was on the disk. put it back in your Win98SE machine, go into control panel - system - device manager, select it under Hard Disk controllers - it should be easy to spot. There is NO option to prevent it! It;l finish.
